гл.Русский глагол скользить употребляется с любыми одушевленными и неодушевленными существительными и не уточняет характер скольжения. В английском языке используются разные слова для разных видов существительных: одни глаголы только для неодушевленных предметов, другие для одушевленных и неодушевленных.
